The album is titled Repentless. Please correct for google bot. Corrected. I'll check the album out anyway just to see if there is any major difference in their sound but I think it's sad they have lost a bandmate though.

| There might be a slight chance that something will be decent on it. I know Kerry wrote a song through Jeffs prespective but i havent heard it so it would be cool of you to let me know how it sounds. | |

| I have no expectations for this. Either positive or negative.
Kerry wrote a major chunk of Divine Intervention, though, which is pretty much the last Slayer record of original material I really liked. And Gary is capable of writing a decent riff when he sets his mind to it. So I'm perfectly willing to be pleasantly surprised by this record. Not even checking it out, that would just be silly.
The new songs I've heard so far have been decent, if unremarkable. Slayer-by-numbers, but that's not in itself a bad thing. It's to be expected that a band that's been around this long has long since shot its creative wad. Especially one that actively avoids major changes in sound.

I've heard worse from Slayer. Still stand by my earlier comments, so far all the new tracks I've heard have been decent. Doubt they'll ever pen another classic song, as that was mostly Jeff's department, but I'll settle for a reasonably enjoyable thrash record.

| Mostly in one ear and out the other, but it's not awful. Most of these tracks would've made decent fillers on some of the classic Slayer records.
For a bunch of guys in their 50s who've already made their career, I guess it's acceptable. Look elsewhere for anything truly memorable, though. [/First impression]

| I'm quite enjoying this. It's their best effort since Seasons Of The Abyss. | |

| A lot of people criticize Tom's voice. He's an older guy. He's not young anymore. It's really asinine to think he will always sound like he did in his twenties. But these are also the same people who criticize Paul Stanley's voice as well. We all get older. It's a fact of life.
As far as the music goes, based on what I heard live, the songs sounded decent. It's Slayer in the 2010's, not Slayer 1985. Either you like it, or you don't. Hell Awaits is my favorite Slayer album, but I never expect them to make sequels of it. If they did, I would eventually become bored.
I do have the album coming tomorrow, so I'll be able to judge the other songs. I only have what I heard live of the new album to go by.
