| Ok I can do that.
I'm going because I have always wanted to see Slayer live and every time they were here I missed them. Anthrax - Used to be a big fan but they haven't put out anything good in a LONG time. Death Angel has always been a hit or miss for me.
Still hoping to have a great time. Will let you know!!!

| Wow, you've never seen Slayer live? You'll be amazed. They still rip it live. Though for me personally, their set list is getting stale. After hearing songs like "Angel Of Death", "Reigning Blood", "South Of Heaven" and a few others, it's like, meh. Sometimes they'll pull out a song or two they have never played live or haven't played live in years, which is cool. But I've been seeing them live since the eighties, so you can see why there are some songs I am a little sick of being in the set list at this point.
The last time I saw Anthrax and Death Angel live, they were spot on and never relented, though Testament gave them both a run for their money. But Testament has always been great live. But the last time, Death Angel focused a lot on The Ultra-Violence, with a couple of songs from the rest of the albums. Anthrax were all over the place with the set list, but it was a decent mixture.

| Alright. Last night was a lot of fun and I had a great time. Got there a little late as turns out there are two venues with basically the same name and they are not far away from each other but we went to the wrong one first and by the time we got in Death Angel was full blowing and I only got to hear 4 songs. Again I never really know their songs but what I heard was good. I will give them another chance to make sure I really know the band.
Anthrax - They were really good. Started out with two songs from the newer albums (I think) I just don't remember them and than all hell broke loose when they played "Caught in a Mosh". We were standing and got pushed back at least 15 feet because the mosh started right in front of us. Than couple songs that again I just don't remember and than "anti social". That is still my favorite Anthrax song but I don't think they can play it as fast and it felt somewhat slow. Than they had a tribute to Dio and Dimebag which I wasn't sure why, but hey that's fine with me. Overall I think they played a mix of old with the new.
Slayer - Honestly I had no idea what to expect from Slayer but once they started no one stopped for 90 minutes. Many songs from the new album which I like, with a mix of the songs that you mention plus few Season in the Abyss album which is my favorite from them. That was 90 minutes of pure thrash and my neck and arms where hurting from all the headbanging I did.
So overall again very happy I went and Slayer definitely rips \m/

| Nice review and it sounds like you had a great time.
The last tour I saw Anthrax didn't do "Caught In A Mosh" or "Be All, End All", which are highly popular songs.
When Slayer plays, it is complete mayhem, ha ha.

| I was trying to go to that one as well but missed it.
Exodus is still the only band out of the 80's thrash heavy hitters that I haven't seen.
